Following a career in the software industry, Brian Hynes decided to retire and commence on the daunting path to becoming a published author of fiction books. A significant step undoubtedly, scary yet exciting. Because believing something is possible is very different to actually making it happen.
And now after almost two years, the first step on that journey is complete. The publishing of “Circle of Enlightenment,” is proof that age isn’t a barrier and good things happen to those who believe.

THE WEST AWAKES
The Circle of Enlightenment was in my mind always a multi book odyssey. The richness of subjects, particularly the mythology, history and science enabled me to create worlds that grow organically with the characters. This was and is an important factor as I move forward. The second book, “The West Awakes,” is finished in the sense of the main story and protagonists. Yet, much work remains in terms of editing and restructuring of detail.
What I can say is, the main characters of book 1 are further explored. Their powers, strengths and weaknesses laid bare for the reader to absorb. Also, as one would expect, new characters are introduced. Both in the real and mythological world. They drive new narratives and overall add shade into the story. It is important for me as the author, to unearth new storylines and create a darkness from which some of our heroes emerge. Fundamentally, their journey lies at the heart of these books and it is one I look forward to exploring with you all.
